Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the title of Outstanding Chair in Psychology of the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. The university is widely acknowledged for initiating the contemporary research into the study of eyewitness memories and the role of child victims as witnesses in the legal realm. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants, and has been recognized with numerous internationally and national awards. She has worked with many organisations and governments across the world on policy and research pertaining to child victims of the justice system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been President of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development Practice Division and the Society for Child Policy American Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
