Katarina Witt was born on the 3rd of December 1965 in Staaken, East Germany. In her search for new challenges she continually opens possibilities of new work for herself and gathers experience in various fields in production, figure skating, presenting, acting and writing. Following her 1988 World Championships Katarina Witt ends her highly successful career as an amateur to the present. Her first trip as a co-headliner as a professional Canada and the US over the following three years along together with World Champion Brian Boitano. "Witt and Boitano Skating", a new show with figure skaters popular enough the show's popularity has been so high that Madison Square Garden New York is now sold out for the first time in the past 10 years. The Olympic Games held in Lillehammer 1994 marked her 3rd time as an Olympic participant. In the following 10 years, she travels across North America as the star of "Champions on Ice" and"Champions on Ice, "Stars on Ice","Stars on Ice "Champions on Ice Tour" along with other figure skating shows. She also competes in many international professional events. She is the brains behind behind a variety of international ice show productions which she designs, develops headlines, produces and creates with her own production firm, WITT. It is a company that sets the standard in skating, making shows such as "Divas on Ice", "Katarina & Friends", Enjoy the Stars" as well as Winter Magic for US and German television.
